So you think you can dance?

Some people feel like they may have been born with two left feet.  I, however, feel like dancing is apart of everyone they just haven’t had the oppertunity to express that side of them yet.  It is a forgiving art form that creates the weird and unconventional into something beautiful and remarkable.  If you’re curious to release your inner dancer join me at Pamoja.  It is an on-campus dance group that is for non-dance majors/minors.  The group is diverse with people from all walks of life and comprises of eclectic dance styles that combine to create a wonderful group.  The first meeting is on Monday January 28 in Memorial Hall at 7pm.

My favorite thing about watching my 3-year-old daughter and her classmates dance is that they don’t care what anyone else thinks about how they look — they are just having fun. Too bad that has to change when you get old!

Letting loose and dancing like no one is watching is not as easy as it sounds-especially when you get older! That’s where I find it best to take classes with a friend because at the end of the day looking stupid and crazy in front of your friends don’t really matter, it’s just pure fun!
